I did toss some tree and shrub mulch and Miracle Grow garden soil into the large holes I dug. My soil is heavy clay, so the mulch and garden soil helped to loosen it a bit to allow the roots to breathe a bit and expand out.

I would highly recommend tree guards. They were easy to locate online. I believe mine were from Starks where I bought the trees. I have had problems with squirrels yanking off the lowest foliage for whatever reason.

Other than that, I just water during long, dry spells and prune off dead and diseased looking branches.Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17171937062608199395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3612733656275176261.post-47729942278942591692012-04-02T13:41:15.061-04:002012-04-02T13:41:15.061-04:00Hows all the trees doing, im just starting this ye...Hows all the trees doing, im just starting this year (well now!!) i have apple/pear/plum/cherry and the same redhaven peach tree, any tips or advice as you have been going along, Thx paul UKluaphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09087595267420264867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3612733656275176261.post-19973846064638955812010-11-25T12:31:26.085-05:002010-11-25T12:31:26.085-05:00I was thinking about ordering a Meyer lemon tree. ...I was thinking about ordering a Meyer lemon tree.
